Some news here, after all. First, my pageview counter here on dA has hit the 10.000 in the last few days, which I consider a good thing I am on dA for a year and a half now, but already I consider the exchange on dA an integral part of my humble attempts to generate some really artistic images. And it's really interesting to see how much I have learned here in the last months, just from getting inspired by so many different styles and tastes on this platform. Thank you to all you dA artists just for being here and sharing so much inspiring work!

Interesting side note: my most visited image (and also the one most faved) again is a female butt, just as it was when I began posting on dA - some things just seem to never change

Oh, and in other news: after serving me bravely for many many years (read: 45.000 images), my venerable camera (EOS 10D) is sent to retirement. The new 5D Mk II has just arrived - yeeeehaaaaaw (and has undergone already intense dust testing with my daughter in the riding arena). I had the 10D for over 5 years, and still found it well suited for so many photographic tasks - just look at my pictures. Maybe it's time to get out old Feiniger's book again - you don't need the latest and greatest in technology. In 99.9% of all cases it's better to just grab ANY camera, get out and shoot, instead of hanging around in internet forums and counting pixels
